The final deadline for registration will be Thursday, Nov. 3, we will not be accepting on-site registrations. If you will be registering late, we need to get an e-mail or phone call from you by Thursday in order to give you a place in the heat list. (alternative_athletics@hotmail.com) If we reach our 60 athlete cap before Thursday, I will put out a notice to let you know.
Heat lists will come out later in the week, but here is a tentative timeline for the competition:
7:30am – Athlete and volunteer check in (Team WOD only participants can check in any time before 2:30pm)
8:00am – volunteer briefing
8:15am – Athlete briefing for WOD 1
8:30am – Heat 1, WOD 1 begins
10:15am – Athlete briefing for WOD 2
10:30am – Heat 1, WOD 2 begins
1:15pm – Athlete briefing for WOD 3
1:30pm – Heat 1, WOD 3 begins
3:00pm – Team WOD briefing
3:15pm – Team WOD heat 1 begins
6:00pm – awards, food
This timeline is subject to change due to adding heats for late registrations, but it should give you a pretty good idea of how the day will go. You will notice THERE IS NO SCHEDULED LUNCH BREAK. You will want to plan to eat in between your heats. There is an Albertsons and a bunch of fast food restaurants just up the hill.
If you are bringing your kids to the event, it will be a long day for them. We do have a small kids corner geared toward toddlers. There is also a park just a few blocks away, if the kids need to let off some steam.
